Evergreen, CO is a city in Colorado and is located at 7,220 feet above sea level. This area is well known for its old growth trees and is home to many conifers. The town got its name from the large population of conifers that are found in the area. It was created in 1927 when Bear Creek was dammed to create Evergreen Lake.
Bergen Peak

The Evergreen Metropolitan District also provides water for the community garden.
Evergreen County is home to the Colorado Blue Spruce Monument, which honors the state tree. The town of Evergreen is filled with historic sites and buildings. The downtown area is filled with old buildings, including The Little Bear. Thomas Bergen was one of the first to settle in the area, and he built a lodge large enough for 40 miners. The town began as a small ranch and developed from there.
Ice-skating at Evergreen Lake
